The mountains, streams and farms are a year-round source of inspiration for my rural landscapes. Some are broad rural views and others are intimate vignettes of a quiet path or a portion of a stream. I prefer to begin an oil or pastel painting in "plein air" so that I can capture the mood and spirit of the moment, later finishing it in my studio. |
